In July 2025, Kaohsiung marked a significant milestone for SEIKOH Co., Ltd. After months of preparation and construction, the new office and factory have officially been completed and are now in operation. Situated in the familiar portside industrial zone, this new building represents more than just a scale-up in operations—it embodies the refinement and advancement gained through over 30 years of professional experience.
The opening ceremony was held in a concise yet ceremonious manner, with industry partners, clients, and academic representatives from both Japan and Taiwan gathered to witness SEIKOH stepping into the future with a renewed presence. From the ribbon-cutting to the traditional Daruma doll eye-painting ritual, every detail reflected the company’s commitment to technical excellence and steady progress.
Unlike typical functional workspaces, the design of SEIKOH’s new facility began with the concept of “spatializing the spirit of the enterprise.” The overall design adopts a contemporary vocabulary, using layers of materials, colors, and lighting to create a calm yet rich atmosphere. Stepping into the building, one immediately senses a rhythm of rationality and order—a reflection of SEIKOH’s accumulated technical strength and an environment that naturally inspires trust.
Ample blank space between public and display areas provides clear visual flow and guided movement. The office zones strike a balance between openness and privacy, enabling effective team collaboration while preserving spaces for focus and contemplation. The layout is smooth, allowing air and light to flow freely—just like the stable and powerful daily rhythm of the enterprise.
Notably, the entire design centers on a contemporary aesthetic, forming a layered and rational environment through pure material and minimalist color combinations. From public zones to office and exhibition areas, the space communicates a sense of clarity, order, and professionalism.
The wayfinding system extends the brand’s identity and spatial language, drawing inspiration from the fluidity of water to create a guiding visual narrative. From floor indicators to functional area signage, custom icons and linear designs integrate spatial flow with the brand’s philosophy—symbolizing SEIKOH’s role as both engine and guardian in every journey, while enhancing user navigation and experience.
On the day of the ceremony, partners from Yanmar Japan, Hua Wei Fishery, CSBC Corporation Taiwan, ABS, CPC Corporation Taiwan, and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology attended the celebration. During the ribbon-cutting, Chairman Mr. Wu Cheng-Te stood with key guests on the red carpet, officially launching SEIKOH’s new chapter.
In the Daruma eye-painting ritual, a Daruma doll—a symbol of good fortune—was gifted by Mr. Hirose, a Japanese partner. The chairman painted the left eye with a wish, while the general manager painted the right eye to signify fulfillment, representing the realization of goals and commitment to progress. The resilience symbolized by the Daruma parallels the company's technical spirit, making the ritual both traditional and forward-looking.
This ceremony was more than the inauguration of a physical space—it was the embodiment of the company’s spirit and culture. Rather than ornate words, SEIKOH conveyed its values through the language of design, the details of the environment, and the rhythm of rituals, staying true to its core characteristics: professionalism, stability, and trustworthiness.
With over 30 years of industrial experience deeply rooted in maritime journeys and partnerships, this new facility will not only be SEIKOH’s daily operational base but also a launch point for deeper collaboration, new challenges, and further horizons. Here, space is not merely a container—it is a concrete extension of corporate culture and values. Grounded in expertise and expressed through place, SEIKOH continues to provide reliable and steady support for the maritime industry.
